DESCRIPTION:We will once again welcome children to meet 7-Foot Santa (City Commissioner\, Matt Morgan) at the historic Bradlee-McIntyre House. Each family will get a reserved five-minute time slot with Santa. These slots are first come\, first serve… so once they’re gone\, they’re gone! Families should arrive at least 15 minutes before their prescribed slot. Before you meet Santa\, you will be ushered through a couple of activity stations to prepare for your meeting. \nOnce you come into the main room to see Santa on his throne chair\, you will have ample opportunity to take photos with the big guy. \nThe event is free but a donation to the Historic Society is encouraged. \nReserve your slot

DESCRIPTION:Let’s kick off the holiday season in Historic Longwood. On our walking tour\, we will not only learn about our buildings from the 1800s but go inside! We will have a free hot cocoa and apple cider reception at the HCC\, followed by a lighting ceremony of the city’s new tree on 427. Finally\, we will cap the event with old-fashioned Christmas caroling to our neighbors in the Historic District.\n\nWalking tour stops will be at the Bradlee-McIntyre Museum\, Longwood Inn\, Inside-Outside House\, Historic Civic Center\, Henck House\, and Le Rue House\n\nSchedule\n\n\n4 PM – Historic “Open House” Guided Walking Tour.\n5 PM – Hot Cocoa and Apple Cider Reception\n5:30 PM – Tree Lighting Ceremony\n5:45 PM – Christmas Caroling\n\nA few songs at the tree on Ronald Regan Blvd and then a processional down Warren\, Bay\, and Pine Avenues.\n\n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the whole family.
