  • Bike Parking Installed at HCC

    To help make the historic district more pedestrian and bicycle-friendly, the Longwood Historic Society executive board voted to install bike parking between the Historic Civic Center and the Inside-Outside House. This ring and post model is adequate for securing two bikes. Its location allows it to serve shoppers of Cottage Gift Shop, renters of the Historic Civic Center, car show and other event visitors, and members attending historic society meetings (two of whom regularly commute by bike).   • New Bradlee-McIntyre House Sign

    The new sign was installed on the 427 side of the Bradlee McIntyre House by Platinum Signs of Casselberry. We think it looks great and will greatly benefit driving awareness of house tours and other events. The old sign was removed. The custom design incorporates architectural elements to accentuate the house’s Queen Anne style. The colors and lettering are raised (like a street sign) and will not fade for dozens of years. It is a big investment in the future.
