Salute to Tracy Putnam

The board of directors regretfully accepted Vice President Tracy Putnam’s resignation earlier this month. Life changes have led Tracy and her husband, Doug, to move to a wonderful spot west of DeLand, near the St. Johns River. However, she was no longer able to continue in the VP role. Tracy will remain a member of the Society, and we have reminded her of the proximity of the new SunRail station to their new home!

It’s hard to convey the vastness of her contributions in a paragraph, but I want to heap a mountain of praises on Tracy and her dedication to the Society for the past six years. She served as an energetic president, helping us weather the COVID pandemic, during which we not only survived but thrived despite those challenges. The membership roster has blossomed under her tenure. She has helped usher in tremendous upgrades to our three buildings and outreach to the community to raise the profile of our organization and welcome in younger members.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Tracy. It has been my honor to serve alongside your leadership.

With Tracy’s departure, we are looking for a new Vice President. If you are interested in the role, please get in touch with the nominating committee, Suzy Hudson or Pamm Redditt. They will present their recommendation for the interim VP at the next board meeting on January 13.
